UI kit & process

Visual design explorations
The gameplay, UX, and interaction design of Chef Barbie™ are similar to Junior Chef's Cafe's, one of the most popular games within Kiddopia that our players are highly familiar with. So my primary focus was on improving the visual design for Chef Barbie's™ UI, while keeping the UX mostly intact.
Process:
+ Created a unified visual style for four individual recipes- Sushi, Tacos, Ramen, and Waffles, as opposed to Junior Chef's Cafe's visual style that varies across recipes
+ Conceptualised and designed a primary set of icons that represented real-world items used in cooking. These icons are meant to be easily recognisable as their real-world counterparts.
+ Designed a set of symbolic icons for secondary UI buttons
+ Incorporated Barbie's™ brand colours in the UI
+ Collaborated with and directed the art team to integrate art assets with the UI

UI interactions
Note: My colleagues animated and coded the UI interactions using Unity 2d. I did not animate any UI elements.
